CAFTA (more precisely, DR-CAFTA - Dominican Republic - Central American Free Trade Agreement) is not talked about much in the news, but it is going to have a large impact on the US economy in the coming years. The basic concept was to create a free trade area between the United States and all of the Central American nations, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Honduras, but in 2004 the Dominican Republic decided to join in on the fun.
